Jatiphala MOYO Beach Hideaway

Moyo is a small island off the north coast of Sumbawa. There are no roads to speak of, no resorts lined up along the sand, and no crowd. Its best-known sight is Mata Jitu, a mystical waterfall locals call the Lady Diana Waterfall, after Princess Diana visited it in 1993.

Jatiphala sits on about 120 m of quiet, west-facing beach. Five tents under thatched roofs, a few steps from the sea.

Shade under the trees, the sound of waves, a gentle breeze. No air conditioning, no road noise. Off-grid on solar power.

Wake up to the sound of gentle waves

This is a place for slowing down: swim, read, sleep in the afternoon, watch the sun go down over the sea. We call it positive boredom. The sweet spot between comfort and nature, barefoot.
