Jatiphala Moyo is on the west coast of Moyo Island, near Labuan Aji village, off the north coast of Sumbawa. Getting here is part of the trip and the adventure.
Usually daily flights from Bali and Lombok to Sumbawa Besar, then one boat trip to Moyo.
From Bali, Wings Air usually has a direct morning flight of about 1 hour; other flights usually change plane in Lombok and take about 2-3 hours. The morning flights land at about 10:00, in time for the public boat leaving between 12:00 and 13:00. Later flights usually land at about 13:30: too late for the public boat, so you need a speedboat charter. [open: recheck the schedule before going live]
After you land, grab a car or scooter taxi from the airport to the harbour, Pelabuhan Goa (Google Maps).
Boats leave from Pelabuhan Goa (Google Maps).You have basically 2 options:
The boat lands at the village jetty in Labuan Aji (Google Maps). It is steep, so pack light and wear shoes you can step into a boat with.

The public boat is simple. The crossing takes 2 to 3 hours depending on the weather, and it can be crowded. You sit on a platform, there are no chairs. The boat also carries scooters, fuel and goods.
Not suitable for wheelchairs or guests who cannot climb in and out of a boat.
The public boat leaves Labuan Aji around 7:00 to 7:30 in the morning. Breakfast starts early so you can make it. The boat arrives too late for the direct morning flight to Bali, which usually leaves Sumbawa Besar at 10:20. With the public boat, book the flight that usually leaves at 14:00: it changes plane in Lombok and lands in Bali at 16:00 or later. For the 10:20 direct, charter a speedboat.
